What We Do

Our glass work began six years ago after seeing images captured between two pieces of glass. Since then we have been capturing images, designs, found-items and wire in glass.

Our glass pieces are created by layering and fusing (melting) together various shapes and colors of glass in a kiln. Most pieces go through several heating and cooling stages and then are cold-worked using sanders and grinders, finishing off with a final fuse.

We are continually experimenting with fusing temperatures, inclusions and ways to expand our definition of the kinds of pieces that can be created with glass. Each creation is an absolute unique piece with no two being the same (even if we wanted them to be!). The lack of predictability is part of the joy and adventure of working with "warm" glass.

Our finished work ranges from window hanging art and chimes to functional bowls, plates and platters to jewellery. We never know what might come next but the journey is always exciting.
